Arteta yet to reveal who he dropped Leno for Ramsdale
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is yet to reveal while he dropped Bernd Leno for Aaron Ramsdale for the Gunners first-choice goalkeeper.
This was made known by Leno, who has been seen his playing chances drop drastically this season at Emirate stadium as he revealed he could leave the North London club in the coming January transfer window.
Recall that the Gunners spent £24million to bring Ramsdale in from Sheffield United in the recent summer transfer window.
And since his arrival, the 23-year-old has quickly forced his way into Arteta’s starting XI ahead of Leno, who is now considering his future at the North London club.
Leno stressed that the reason why he was dropped out of the team has nothing to do with his performance and, as such, doesn’t understand the reason behind the coach action.
“There was no clear reason why I was out, but it had nothing to do with my performance.
“He is the trainer, he decides. Of course, it’s difficult for me,” Leno told Sport Bild.
Leno has been linked with moves to the Italian Seria A club where he could join Inter Milan, who are monitoring the situation at Arsenal.
