Arsenal suffer huge transfer blow ahead of January transfer window
Mikel Arteta’s led Arsenal side have suffered a heavy transfer blow ahead of the January transfer window.
Arsenal which have lacked creativity and accurate passes in the midfield this season were in the race to to sign French Midfielder, Houssem Aouar from Lyon in the summer but the two clubs were unable to reach a fee.
However, the Gunners had plan to resurrect another move in January which is no longer necessary as the latest report has revealed that Aouar has ruled out any transfer in the winter.
Could this player be a solution to Arsenal’s poor form?
When Houssem Aouar was asked about rumours of a departure in January, he told RMC Sport: “I’ll be Lyon until next summer, at least. I do not see how I could be unhappy in my city, in my club. That is something that I do not understand (rumours that he is unhappy).
“I am very happy to be here, I took the decision to stay with the club that formed me, I savour every day I have here.
“Everything that I want, is to put this club back in its rightful place with my team-mates. I am very happy to be here, we have an enormous amount of ambitions for this season.”
With the look of things, the only option which will cost the Gunners no fee will be to make use of German midfielder, Mesut Ozil, who has not been given a chance to start since the lockdown were lifted.
