Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has sent a message to Arsenal fans, especially those who were against the signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Ferdinand called on the Gunners fans to tender apology to Madueke, who has turned out to be a shinning star at the club.

The England international has made a bright start at the Emirates Stadium, to the surprise of many of his critics.

Recall that there was much debate before the England international’s move to the Emirates Stadium, as the Gunners paid as much as £52 million to sign him from Chelsea in the recent transfer window.

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka’s injury presented Madueke with opportunities to thrive for both the Gunners and the English national team.

In a comment via his YouTube channel ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Athletic Club, Ferdinand said, “I just want to give the haters, the naysayers who were hammering Madueke (a message).

“He’s delivered in a game and Arsenal fans are now salivating over him and saying they love him, he’s our saviour.”
