After leaving Arsenal, midfielder joins Real Sociedad

Zac Shuaib has secured a new deal with Spanish club Real Sociedad, following the expiry of his contract with Arsenal in June.
Shuaib confirmed his new contract in a post via his social media page, where he wrote,
“Honoured to sign my first pro contract with Real Sociedad. Let’s get to work. Aupa Real.”
Recall that Shuaib was on a scholarship contract with Arsenal for the last couple of seasons.
The North London club, however, didn’t offer him a professional deal, leading to his exit.
The midfielder was among those included on the Gunners list of departing players published in June.
Shuaib had already spent time with Brighton on a trial basis before his exit from Arsenal. He also held a trial with Real Sociedad before sealing a transfer.
As an under-23 player, the North London club were technically due compensation for training the youngster in their academy, but a report via the BBC said that they waived that compensation.
During his time at the Emirates, Shuaib made four appearances for Arsenal u18s.
His limited game chances at the club meant a summer exit was always likely, and moving to a club Real Sociedad could be the big chance he needs.
