Former Man Utd star and pundit Rio Ferdinand, in a recent statement, has revealed one player that will struggle under new coach Ralf Rangnick.

According to Ferdinand, the player is no other person than Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

This comes after Wan-Bissaka was handed his first start under Rangnick as they drew 1-1 with Young Boys in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The new interim coach had opted for Diogo Dalot in his first game against Crystal Palace.

Ferdinand told BT Sport: “I just feel with Wan-Bissaka he needs to work on his game with the ball. Fullbacks today are controllers of the game. No8s, midfielders were always the conductors.

“Nowadays, the players who get the most touches are the full backs. So you have to be good at receiving the ball and playing it over various distances, adding different layers to your game.”

“In Wan-Bissaka if you are talking about the top right backs in the country, that’s where he falls short.

“What is there for him, he can see it. You know what you need to work on. It is clear for all to see. That is what the manager needs and that’s what the managers want.”
