Man Utd midfielder and the Netherlands international Donny Van de Beek has reacted to the possibilities of the Red Devils being paired against a tougher side in the UCL next round of 16.

Although Man Utd finished at the top of their group after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Swiss club Young Boys, this doesn’t stop them from facing a tougher side.

The Red Devils are likely to paired against teams such as Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, Sporting Lisbon, Inter Milan, Benfica and Red Bull Salzburg in the round of 16.

Van de Beek, in a statement, stressed that with the kind of players Man Utd have, they can beat any team in the UCL.

Asked about United’s prospects in the last 16, Man United midfielder Donny Van de Beek said, “Whoever it is, I think all the teams at this stage of the Champions League are strong.

“I think we have to look at ourselves. We have to be top, because I think with the players that we have, we can beat everyone.

“So we have to work hard every day and I believe we can beat everyone if we play well.”
