The UEFA Europa league went down on Wednesday night with English side Man Utd going head to head against Spanish club, Villarreal.

The game which ended with penalty kicks and victory for Villarreal has seen many Man Utd fans take to social media to call for the sack of coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

The game started with a goal from Gerard Moreno who scored for the Spanish side, before Edison Cavani gave the Red Devils an equalizer, the game would then end with penalty kicks.

Unai Emery and his Villarreal squad successfully nullified the threat of both Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba during the match and he has been applauded for this by many football pundit.

Solskjaer while speaking on his side’s performance in the game said, “You know you’ve got players with high quality there.

“We started with loads of goal scorers and match-winners and we felt and hoped that was going to give us the upper hand.”

We just couldn’t get the first goal and I’m disappointed that we conceded with our first chance and their only shot on target, that’s disappointing of course.

“After we scored we pushed on for about 5-10 minutes and it looked like the game was there for us but then we just couldn’t kick on.”
