This Man Utd midfielder advised to leave Old Trafford
Former football star and pundit Gary Neville in a recent statement, has urged Man Utd midfielder and the Netherlands International Donny van de Beek to leave Old Trafford as soon as possible.
This comes as Donny van de Beek has not been given a chance to start for the Red Devils in his 18 months at the club.
According to Neville, the Dutch player needs to move elsewhere to get playing chances to resurrect his career.
Neville made this known after Man United’s 4-2 defeat to Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
Recall that Van de Beek joined the Red Devils from Dutch club Ajax for £35m in 2020.
So far, the 24-year-old midfielder has started just four times in the Premier League, with two starts in all competitions this season.
Even with the Red Devils losing to the Foxes on Saturday, Donny van de Beek was an unused substitute throughout the match.
“Why’s Donny van de Beek not being given a chance?
“There’s something about that. He’s not been given a chance for 18 months, so you have got to come to the conclusion that Ole didn’t sign him, or he doesn’t fancy him.
“Neither is good for Donny van de Beek, so I think he needs to go and play football somewhere,” Neville was quoted by Metro UK as saying.
