This 24-year-old midfielder highly likely to leave Man Utd in january

The latest reports have claimed that Man Utd are planning to sell their midfielder and the Netherlands international Donny van de Beek in the January transfer window.

Van de Beek joined the Red Devils in August 2020 from Dutch club Ajax for a reported fee of £35m, but he has struggled to get a regular spot in the first team at Old Trafford.

So far the season, the Dutch midfielder has played just six minutes of Premier League football, with his only two starts coming against Young Boys in the Champions League and West Ham United in the EFL Cup.

Popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a statement, has said there are “huge chances” that the 24-year-old midfielder will leave Manchester in January in an attempt to get more playing chances elsewhere.

Romano, however, added that a return to Ajax appears unlikely as the rumours about an Amsterdam homecoming is considered “fake” by all parties.

During his time at Ajax, Van de Beek scored 41 goals in 175 appearances, he won the Eredivisie title in 2019, and that same year the Dutch side made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
