With a few days left to the end of the international break, the players available at Manchester United have resumed training ahead of their weekend game.

The Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag also returned to the training ground with the team on Monday to prepare for Saturday’s game against Brentford at Old Trafford.

Recall that the Dutchman was under intense pressure before the international break, with many fans calling for his sack.

Although Ten Hag followed a 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur with away draws against FC Porto and Aston Villa, there were speculations about his future and Man United held a monthly board meeting in central London last Tuesday.

The meeting, which included co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, lasted around six hours but the outcome was never made public.

However, it is certain that the club’s hierarchy are not happy at their current position of 14th in the league table and Ten Hag faces a critical few games as he hopes to turn around their poor form, which has seen his side go five games without a win.

After the Brentford game, the Red Devils will travel to Istanbul for a Europa League faceoff with Fenerbahce, currently managed by former Man United boss Jose Mourinho, before a league trip to West Ham.
