Manchester United are working on bolstering their attack before the summer transfer window closes as they could welcome a new striker at Old Trafford soon.

This comes as the Red Devils are said to be prepared to submit a bid to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney in the latter stages of the summer transfer window.

A report via Football Insider revealed that Man United are planning to launch a bid to sign Toney in the latter stages.

The striker has entered the final 12 months of his current contract and has been linked with a move away from the Gtech Community Stadium this summer.

The report claimed that Brentford have also dropped their asking price for the 28-year-old from £70m to £50m due to the player’s contract situation.

Recall that the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and West Ham were previously interested in signing Toney in the early stage of the transfer window, but appeared to have lost interest.

The Red Devils could stand a chance to seal the deal where others have failed.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have already sign Netherlands international Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna who they Splashed €42.5m (£36.5m) on to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season.
