Manchester United have suffered a major injury blow as the international break commences.

The Red Devils winger, Alejandro Garnacho, in a recent update was said to have pulled out of international duty with a knee injury.

Recall that Garnacho played the entire 90 minutes as Man Utd were held to a goalless draw at Aston Villa on Sunday.

The recent update about Garnacho means he would not be travelling to join up with his Argentina team-mates this international break.

Garnacho in a statement said he had knee problems in the Red Devils last two matches, and won’t be able to be with the national team.

“I hope to recover soon so I can be on the next date,” Garnacho said.

The Argentine winger will remain in the UK, where he will be assessed by Man United’s medical team.

Hopefully, Garnacho’s injury isn’t severe and he would be able to join the Red Devils squad after in the international break.

He would also be able to take off time to rest before club football season returns.

Meanwhile, Man Utd woes under manager Erik ten Hag continues as they remained seated outside the top six on the league table.
