Man Utd to make moves for former Chelsea manager of Ten Hag is sacked
Man Utd could reignite their interest in former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel if their manager Erik ten Hag is sacked, according to iNews.
It is no longer news that Ten Hag is under immense pressure amid the Red Devils’ poor form this season.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano earlier this week indicated that talks were held by Old Trafford hierarchy over the Dutchman’s future at the club.
This was after the Red Devils’s shameful 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, a result that left them at the 13th spot on the Premier League table, having garnered seven points from their opening six matches.
Recall that Man Utd were closed to sacking Ten Hag towards the end of last season until he won the FA Cup against Man City.
Recent updates revealed if Man Utd choose to part ways with Ten Hag as their manager, then they’re likely to resume talks with Tuchel, who was one of their top candidates in the summer.
Recall that there were reports that negotiations with the former Chelsea boss collapsed due to disagreements about the power he would be granted, and the financial package.
Tuchel has been out of a job since leaving German side Bayern Munich at the end of last season. He led Chelsea to their UCL win in 2021.
