Lingard reveals intention to remain at Old Trafford
Man Utd player, Jesse Lingard has reportedly told the club he wants to remain with them for a few more years.
Recall Lingard found it hard to play in the Red Devils squad last season and was transferred to West Ham on loan.
His performance with the Hammers have however been impressive as he struck nine goals and created five assists in 16 appearances which helped David Moyes’s men secure a spot in the UEFA Europa League next season.
While the Hammers are understandably keen on signing him permanently this summer, Lingard however prefers to return to Old Trafford to take back his place in the first team.
However, The Sun reports that Lingard has instead told Solskjaer that he sees his future at Old Trafford, and he has also informed his friends of his decision.
The report added that Lingard is not totally opposed to a permanent move at West Ham, though and could consider the transfer if Man Utd can secure the signing of Jadon Sancho as that would means lesser playing time for him at Old Trafford.
He however has 12 months to decide his future, either to extend his contract with Man Utd or move elsewhere.
