Fernandes wins Player of the Year for the second time
Man Utd star midfielder, Bruno Fernandes has done it again as the season comes to an end.
According to the latest reports, Fernandes has been named the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year for the second successive season.
Fernandes, who is Man Utd’s top scorer this season has also created 11 assists in the Premier League and five more in Europe.
The Portugal international also broke Frank Lampard’s goal record for a midfielder in the Premier League era with his goal against Liverpool last week.
The report also revealed that Luke Shaw and Edinson Cavani emerged as his main contenders for the award, but Fernandes clinched it after polling 63% of the votes.
Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford finished in fourth and fifth respectively.
Fernandes has become a key player since arriving at Old Trafford, following his arrival the Red Devils have turned out to become one of the toughest team in the EPL and are seated at the second spot on the log table.
The Portuguese star could also lift the UEFA Europa League with the Red Devils when they face Villareal later this month.
Fernandes will be one of the players to look out for in the Premier League next season.
