Manchester United will continue their pursuit of Premier League glory when they entertain Southampton in what promises to be a thrilling affair at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team have been in a great form this season as they’ve been able to put the Champions League disappointment behind them.

Manchester United are going into the match with a point to prove as their goalless draw against Arsenal raised eyebrows about their title credentials.

Ahead of the kick-off, we’ve decided to bring you the list of players that might be given a chance in the starting lineup.

David De Gea has been able to shake off the bad spell that wanted to put a dent on his career to re-establish himself as one of the best goalkeeper in Europe.

He will be retaining his place in goal ahead of Dean Henderson.

Manchester United back four should see familiar faces in Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Eric Baily.

Bailly will start ahead of Lindelof as he been benched for the last two matches which United missed the Ivorian.

United are well-stocked in midfield at present as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could call on any of his experience midfielders.

However, Fred, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes should will be tasked with the job of outclassing Southampton in the middle of the park.

Up front, Anthony Martial should be returning to the team after being benched against Arsenal, he will be supported by Marcos Rashford who was racially abused after the match against Mikel Arteta’s team.

Cavani will spree head the attack as he remains the only pointsman in the team as he helped United come from 2-0 down to beat the Saints 3-2 earlier in the season at St Mary’s.
