Former Man Utd star and pundit, Rio Ferdinand in a recent statement, has revealed the most significant problem Dutch player Donny Van de Beek is facing at Old Trafford.

According to Ferdinand, he claimed that Van de Beek’s biggest problem at Man United is that he is ‘too nice’.

Since joining the Res Devils from the Dutch club, Ajax last year, Van de Beek has struggled to get game time.

In the ongoing campaign, the Netherlands international has played for just five minutes from the bench.

It doesn’t look like the future is encouraging for him at Old Trafford as he has fallen out of favour under Man United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Speaking about Van de Beek’s situation on his FIVE YouTube show, Ferdinand said: “I think the big thing with Donny can de Beek – and he’s a great guy, we have had him on the show before – he’s a really calm, relaxed guy.

Ferdinand noted that if the Dutch player is player that speaks out, he would have at least left Man Utd to get more game time elsewhere.

“And sometimes when you are too nice maybe, or you are nice about a situation and you are polite, you might not get the situation that you really require for yourself. And I think that is probably the problem for someone like Donny van de Beek,” he added.
