Disagreement trial Erik ten Hag’s future at Old Trafford
Manager Erik ten Hag may still be in-charge at Old Trafford when Manchester United return to action next weekend after the international break.
This comes as recent report revealed the club’s hierarchy held talks over the future of Ten Hag this week, and failed to reach agreement.
They finally decided against sacking the Dutchman, as they failed to reach a consensus over the decision and couldn’t agree on who should be signed as his replacement, according to TBR Football.
The Red Devils commenced the new season with poor form, sitting 14th in the Premier League table after garnering just eight points from their opening seven matches.
The poor form has increased the calls for Ten Hag’s sack by Man Utd fans, and it’s understood that this was the main topic of discussion in Tuesday’s meeting of club hierarchy.
A report via TBR revealed that some of the Red Devils chiefs during the meeting felt now was the time to sack Ten Hag, but due to the lack of an overall agreement, he has retained his job beyond this international break.
The Red Devils are also rooting for Ten Hag to succed, opting to stick with rather than twist.
