Ahead of the January transfer window, which is less than three months away, a new report has claimed Uruguay International and Man Utd forward Edison Cavani could be on his way out of the club.

The report claimed that Cavani is open to joining the Spanish club Real Madrid.

This comes after the Uruguay star has lost more game time at Old Trafford since the return of Cristiano Ronaldo during the recent summer transfer window.

Even though Cavani started for Man Utd during their Saturday match vs Everton, it seems not to be convincing enough to make him remain at Old Trafford.

A recent report hinted that the Los Blancos were weighing up a January move for Cavani, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side keen on signing a new striker to compete with Karim Benzema at the front.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Cavani is open to moving to Real Madrid, as he dreams of playing in Spain before the end of his professional career.

The report added that whether Cavani pushes for a January exit is likely to depend on how much game time he receives between now and the opening of the winter window at Old Trafford.
