Manchester United are in the race to sign an experienced coach next season after the recent sacking of Ole Solskjaer as their coach on Sunday.

Soslkjaer was handed a sack letter after Watford defeated the Red Devils on Saturday.

Currently, the club is being managed by a caretaker in the person of Michael Carrick.

In a latest report, Ajax coach Erik Ten Hag who is one of the favourites named to replace Solskjaer at Old Trafford, has dismissed the reports.

While former Tottenham now PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino is the favourite on the Man Utd list, Ten Hag is also believed to be on the shortlist of potential Solskjaer successors.

But the 51-year-old manager has a contract at Ajax until the summer of 2023.

Ten Hag, however, confirmed that no one has been in touch with him regarding a potential switch to Manchester.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Ten Hag said: “Man United interest? I am busy with Ajax. No one contacted me, I can confirm this. I want to win titles here.”

Ten Hag has an impressive record with 136 wins from 185 games in charge of Ajax and has delivered two Eredivisie titles to the Amsterdam giants since becoming their coach in December 2017.
