Former Liverpool star reveals he wasn’t loved at Anfield

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has reveals the reasons why he left Liverpool this summer noting that he wasn’t loved and appreciated by some at the club.

Wijnaldum left Liverpool on a free transfer to sign for Paris Saint-Germain this summer and his move came as a shock to fans of the football club.

The Holland international played a key role in Liverpool’s success during his five years stay, winning the Premier League in 2020 as well as the 2019 Champions League.

However, Wijnaldum believed he didn’t feel valued by some members despite being given a guard of honor in his final match for Liverpool.

Accordimg to Wijnaldum while speaking to reporters, there was a moment when he didn’t feel loved and appreciated.

However, he noted that this didn’t come from his teammates and not from the people at Melwood training ground because from them he know, they all love him and he love them.

Wijnaldum claimed the love didn’t come from fans on social media as he got blamed whenever things went bad.

He added that his feeling was that the fans in the stadium and the fans on social media were two different kinds as the fans in the stadium always supported him.
