Former Manchester City defender, Micah Richards in a statement shared why Chelsea attacking midfielder, Cole Palmer is different from the rest of his peers.

Richards lauded m the England star’s versatility on the pitch.

This comes after Chelsea’s recent Premier League outing ended in a 4-2 win against Brighton at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

It’s worthy of note that all of the four goals from Chelsea during the match were scored within the first half by Palmer who gained attention with his brilliant display.

His performance against the Seagulls saw the Chelsea star become the first player to do so in a Premier League match.

Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Richards stated that Palmer has the ability to play on the right and in central areas.

He continued by saying Palmer can play anywhere, stressing that it is what separates him from the rest.

” think he can have an effect on the game from whatever position he is playing,” Richards added.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Palmer would return to action come Thursday when they play against Gent in the Europa Conference League.

The Blues will hope to maintain their top form under their new manager Enzo Maresca.
