Former Chelsea manager, Graham Potter has lauded Cole Palmer’s goalscorer ability at Stamford Bridge.

Recall that Potter was at Chelsea for eight months during the 2022-23 campaign as he was hired as a replacement for Thomas Tuchel.

It is no news that Palmer has remained Chelsea’s top performer and key player since moving to the West London side from Manchester City in 2023.

The English forward has scored 31 goals and created 19 assists in 53 matches for the Blues across competitions

Chelsea signed Palmer from Manchester City for a £42.5 million fee, which has been one of their best deals under their new owner Todd Boehly.

Potter in a statement expressed his admiration for the youngster, lauding his technique and composure.

The former Blues manager said on Sky Sports that Palmer’s technical level is incredibly high and he’s just so calm.

Potter stressed that Palmer scores all types of goals, and has the ability see a killer pass and can link the play.

“He’s a top player,” Potter added.

So far this season, the England international hasbalready scored six goals and created four assists in six Premier League fixtures for Chelsea.

He is expected to score more goals for the Blues led by manager Enzo Maresca as the season continues.
