Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has revealed his plans of returning to former club Fluminense and winning the Copa Libertadores before he finally retires from active football.

At the age of 36, Thiago Silva is still having the best time at Chelsea as he joined the club from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer during the summer.

He has been able to warm the hearts of the club fans with his impressive performance as he aims to win silverware with the London club.

Thiago Silva during a recent interview has now been quizzed about his future and he has not hidden his love for Fluminense.

According to the former AC Milan defender while speaking to TNT Sports, if he told fans and journalist that he doesn’t think about it, he’ll be lying to them.

Thiago Silva stated that it’s something that he thinks about and he has already talked a few times with his wife.

According to the experienced defender, when a player has a long career in Europe and their children grow up in Europe, this decision is difficult.

Thiago Silva added that he do have this dream of returning to wear the shirt of Fluminense, everyone knows his desire but it’s something he prefers to leave in the future to see how things are going to happen.

Though Thiago Silva noted that it’s a difficult decision to be made, but he’s really thinking with great affection and suddenly he has this Libertadores mission again.
