Date for Thomas Tuchel’s first FA Cup tie as Chelsea manager finally revealed

Thomas Tuchel’s quest of winning a silverware in his first season at Chelsea has continued and the German tactician will be hoping he defies all odds.

Having replaced Frank Lampard who was sacked after a run of poor form in the Premier League, Thomas Tuchel began his Chelsea era with a draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The blues were dominant from start to finish but we’re unable to defeat a Wolverhampton Wanderers team that was well disciplined at the back.

Though it was not a result Chelsea fans were hoping for, the team performance have been applauded as they insisted that there are signs the team will improve under Tuchel.

Thomas Tuchel will now be eager to impress them when Chelsea take on Barnsley in there FA cup tie.

The Chelsea manager will be marching his side onto the pitch of play in their FA Cup fifth-round tie against Barnsley which has been confirmed for a midweek kick off next month.

Chelsea travel to Oakwell to take on the Tykes in an 8pm kick-off on Thursday, February 11 in what will be Thomas Tuchel’s first FA Cup game in charge.

February is set to be a busy time for the blues as their game against Sheffield United, set for February 6, is expected to be moved.

Thomas Tuchel will be facing Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur on the 4th of the month and then Newcastle on the 15th with the FA Cup game sandwiched in between.

Fans will be hoping Thomas Tuchel who helped Paris Saint-Germain reach the Champions League will help to add more trophies to his category.
