UCL: Potter gives update on Kepa ahead of game vs Dinamo Zagreb
Chelsea will return to action on Wednesday night in the Uefa Champions League when they host Dinamo Zagreb, the only club to have defeated them in the tournament this season.
Ahead of the match, Chelsea manager Graham Potter has given an update on Kepa Arrizabalaga’s injury.
Kepa, who was replaced by Edouard Mendy during the Blues’ embarrassing defeat to Brighton will be unavailable on Wednesday.
While Potter confirmed Kepa will miss the game it is unknown if he would be available for their weekend clash against Arsenal in the Premier League.
‘Kepa won’t be available for the game,’ said Potter.
‘He has a slight issue with his plantar fascia [a part of your foot that connects your heelbone to your toes].
‘We’re looking at days, but certainly not for the game tomorrow.’
Chelsea have already qualified for the next stage of the UCL and Potter may decide to rest many of his key players for tonight’s game.
