The Uefa Champions League returned on Tuesday as Manchester United suffered a second defeat in the tournament.

Man Utd fell to the bottom of Group A following a 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray.

The Red Devils squad led by manager Erik ten Hag were hoping to bounce back from their fourth Premier League defeat against Crystal Palace last weekend.

Rasmus Hojlund gave the hosts the lead in the 17th minute, heading home Marcus Rashford’s cross.

The lead lasted less than six minutes as Wilfried Zaha equalized against Man Utd.

Hojlund restored the lead with a powerful run and finish in the 67th minute, only for Kerem Akturkoglu to make it 2-2 four minutes later.

Mauro Icardi missed from the penalty spot after Casemiro conceded a penalty, before slotting home the winner late in the game.

Following the outcome of the match, Galatasaray have now moved to second in the group on four points, while Man United are pointless.

Bayern Munich are the group toppers with six points from two games after a 2-1 win at FC Copenhagen, who are third with one point.
