UCL: I’ve never seen Messi as a rival – Juventus star

The biggest game that went down in the Champions League last night was between Juventus and Barcelona, which saw two of the biggest players of the moment Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi play against each other.

Barcelona and Messi struggled to perform last night but they lost the game with a 3-0 scoreline.

Ronaldo scored two penalties for Juventus while Weston McKennie made it 3 as the Old Ladies came at the top spot in Group G.

Messi also tried his best as had 11 shots, including seven on target but the match just didn’t go his way.

Ronaldo who shared an embrace with the Argentine star before the match started disclosed in a post match statement that he doesn’t see him as a rival.

“I have always had a very cordial relationship with him,” he told Movistar+.

“I shared 12, 13 or 14 years of award ceremonies with him. I never saw him as a rival.”

Ronaldo stressed that himself and Messi always try to do what is best for their respective teams as he however added that they are always got along very well with him.

“But we know that in football, for the press, for the show, a rivalry is sought, but I have always gotten along well with him. I see him as always,” Ronaldo added.
