Transfer Deal: Arsenal could make move for this player worth £40million

Arsenal will be making some moves for new players in the January transfer window as Mikel Arteta hopes to strengthen his following their poor performance so far this season.

Fabrizio Romano has told The Arsenal Lounge that he believes the Gunners will return to the table and make offers to the French club, Lyon to sign Houssem Aouar in the January transfer window.

Arsenal made attempts to sign Aouar in the summer transfer window but they were  unable to strike a deal with the French side.

The Gunners have lacked the present of a creative midfielder this season and it has affected the performance of the team so bad.

Arsenal will hope to sign a new midfielder to support summer signing Thomas Partey.

According to Romano, Arsenal may make a bid for Aouar, if they fail to land Dominik Szoboszlai from Red Bull Salzburg in January.

“I think they will try again for sure,” he said. “Now we have to happen what will happen with Szoboszlai, they are waiting on his final decision.

“But immediately after Szoboszlai signs with another club, they could move again for Aouar. They have already spoke with his agent.”

Romano, however, added that it will not be easy to sign Auora in January, but he is at the top of the list for Arsenal. He would cost Arsenal £40 million, an amount they might not be able to afford.
