Two players Chelsea must sign in the summer transfer window

The summer transfer window may look months away but football clubs are already working silently on new players to bring on board.

In the card of Chelsea, their new coach, Thomas Tuchel, who came in to replace Frank Lampard in January will want to make his first signings in the summer to build his team.

However, former football star, Glenn Johnson has advised the new manager on two players he should sign

According to Chelsea need to sign a top rated striker and a centre back in the summer.

He believes these are the players the Blues need as they already have enough players in other areas.

“I think they [Chelsea] needs a top, younger centre half, and they need a top striker,” Johnson told Metro UK.

“Obviously, they have spent a lot of money in the wide areas and in midfield.”

Speaking on Olivier Giroud’s role in the team, Johnson believes the Blues are a far better side with Giroud, and he’s the guy that they have been trying to get out of the door for the last few years.

Johnson stressed that it shows that Chelsea have tried to replace Giroud and have not managed to do so.

Giroud was the striker during the UCL game vs. Atletico Madrid and hey was impressive during the game.
