Chelsea manager and Germany international Thomas Tuchel, in a recent statement, has revealed that he has been unfair to one of his players at Stamford Bridge this season.

Tuchel revealed the player to be Callum Hudson-Odoi, who he has made to play as a wing-back.

The Blues manager revealed this ahead of the Chelsea game vs Malmo on Tuesday in the Uefa Champions League.

He revealed that Hudson-Odoi has been impressive for the Blues squad this season and remain a key player at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel revealed that Hudson-Odoi took his new role for the team with positivity and showed the right spirit so far.

“Was it always fair to let him play as a wing-back? No, maybe not. He had to take this for the team, and he did. He was always positive. He showed the right spirit.

“Now it is all about consistency, that he stays hungry and keeps on going and progressing and that he enjoys the moment but at the same time is aware of what it takes in the team. It looks good at the moment,” Tuchel said.
