Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed that his side will take action on the future of Bill Gilmour, who is currently on loan at Norwich City in January.

However, ahead of the January transfer window, Tuchel wants the 20-year-old to fight for his place in the Norwich City squad.

Since September 26, Gilmour has not featured for Norwich City in any game and is now looking forward to a return to Chelsea in January.

“We’ll take the decision in January when a decision has to be made and not now,” Tuchel said during his pre-match press conference ahead of their UCL clash vs Malmo on Tuesday.

Tuchel revealed he spoke with Norwich City coach Daniel Farke about Gilmour’s situation and was happy to meet the Chelsea loanee around the match at Stamford Bridge.

“The things were clear when we decided together that he is looking for more minutes and more game time at another club, the challenge was clear, that he needs to fight his way through and this is where he is right now.m

“Things are not going as he may wish for, or as we all wish for, but it’s not the moment now to give solutions and cancel the whole project,” Tuchel.

He, however, urged Gilmour to fight for a place in the Norwich City squad pending the time a decision is taken in January.
