The Blues manager, Thomas Tuchel, in a recent statement, has revealed that the Blues made moves to sign England international Harry Kane in the summer window.

Recall that Kane last season revealed his intention to leave Tottenham Hotspurs for another club where he could win trophies. He also stated that he would love to remain in the Premier League.

Following his statement, top football clubs like Man Utd, Man City and Chelse showed interest to sign the English striker, but none of the deals worked out as expected.

Kane remained at Tottenham; Chelsea manager, Tuchel has, however, confirmed the Blues made moves for Kane, but it didn’t come through.

Tuchel stressed that Kane was never “close” to moving to Stamford Bridge as there was never a list with his name on it; the German manager revealed he never went to Marina (Granovskaia) to tell her to buy him.

“But the club sorted out the situation. There are many people around players – their agents and advisors and people in between, and we had some information from these people, but it was never that close,” Tuchel added.
