Tuchel react as Kounde snubs move to Chelsea, wants move to Barcelona
Chelsea move for Jules Kounde from Sevilla seems to be uncertain this month as he has been linked with moves to Spanish side Barcelona once again.
There are new claims that Kounde wants a move to Camp Nou and is putting the Blues on hold despite reaching an earlier agreement with them.
Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has reacted to the reports as he said there is “no news at the moment” when he asked about the club’s attempt to sign Kounde from Sevilla.
When asked about the player turning down Barça to join Chelsea, Tuchel said: “This is what you say… but I will not comment on other players.
“No news at the moment. I will tell you if there will ever be news on Koundé.”
According to the UK Telegraph, Kounde is set to become the Blues’ third summer signing.
The west London side have beaten off competition from Barca for the Frenchman.
Chelsea are expected to pay Sevilla £55million for Kounde and want to sign him on a five-year contract.
