Chelsea are allegedly prepared to make a move for Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule in an transfer that could start a merry-go-round.

The 25-year-old, who has spent the last four years at the Allianz Arena, is expected to be out of contract toward the end of next season.

Bayern Munich are supposed to be hesitant to sell Sule, particularly with free agents Jerome Boateng and David Alaba effectively out this summer.

As indicated by El Gol Digital, notwithstanding, Chelsea will test the Bavarian giants’ purpose by making a move for the Germany international when the transfer window opens.

A similar report proposes that, should Sule move to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea will give the green light for long-serving defender Cesar Azpilicueta to join Atletico Madrid in a £15m deal.

That will open the door for Jose Maria Gimenez to leave Atletico, with Real Madrid and Manchester United supposed to be keen on the 26-year-old.

Niklas Sule has made 32 appearances for Bayern Munich in all competitions this season, but he is presently sidelined with a muscle injury that has kept him out for as far back as three weeks.
