The German’s fellow centre back, Jerome Boateng, will depart the club as a free agent this summer, while David Alaba is also set to leave when his contract lapses toward the end of June.

Bayern Munich have effectively reported that Dayot Upamecano will arrive from RB Leipzig this summer.

The entirety of the upheaval in the squad and the normal changes in the dugout, with coach  Hansi Flick leaving the club toward the end of the season, and his own contract circumstance could persuade Sule that is it an opportunity to move on, and Chelsea are prepared to exploit.

The Athletic reports that Thomas Tuchel has told Chelsea that signing a centre back is one of his summer priorities, and the ex-Dortmund boss has distinguished Sule as one of the talented defenders who could help him mount a Premier League title challenge next season.
