Tottenham Hotspur have parted ways with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, with the club sitting seventh in the Premier League table.

The announcement comes only six days before Tottenham Hotspur are due to face Manchester City in the EFL Cup final, where they could win their first prize since 2008.

Nonetheless, Tottenham have won only one of their last six matches across all competitions, suffering an early exit from the Europa League and slipping five points behind West Ham United in the top four race simultaneously.

Tottenham have lost 10 Premier League games already in 2020-21, and 9 times since the turn of the year across all competitions.

News of Jose Mourinho’s departure comes under 12 hours after Tottenham affirmed that they are part for a 12-team breakaway group of European clubs intending to frame a dubious however lucrative new European Super League.
