Atletico Madrid prepare asking price for Chelsea target

Atletico Madrid won’t acknowledge any offer lower than £110m for Jan Oblak, reports state.

Chelsea boss has made the goalkeeper his main concern this summer having just signed Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech and RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

The Blues are set up to fork out £90m for Jan Oblak and significantly offer Kepa Arrizabalaga as a part of the deal.

Diego Simeone wouldn’t like to sell Jan Oblak and Atletico Madrid would just consider offers that would meet the shot stopper’s release clause.

The 27-year-old signed a four-year deal a little more than a year back and Atletico Madrid upgraded his buy-out clause to an exceptional £110m.

The Blues should coordinate that figure to force dealings with Atletico Madrid and contract talks with Jan Oblak.

It stays hazy if Jan Oblak would be keen on a move to the Premier League, having recently been connected with Manchester United.

Chelsea have a decent connection with Atletico Madrid, with deals resolved for Diego Costa, Alvaro Morata and Thibaut Courtois recently.

Frank Lampard is anxious to reinforce his defence and has consistently lost patience with Kepa Arrizabalaga all through the season.

Chelsea seem ready to guarantee a spot in the Champions League next season and are anxious to offload Kepa Arrizabalaga just as sign a replacement.

Kepa Arrizabalaga could return to Spain and has pulled in light of a legitimate concern for Valencia, anyway the shot stopper’s wages could be an issue for any move.

Chelsea gave Kepa Arrizabalaga a £170,000 weekly deal when he moved from Atletico Bilbao in 2018.

Diego Simeone has just made light of Chelsea’s enthusiasm for Jan Oblak, demanding it was typical for rival clubs to follow the plug.
