Chelsea are hoping to sell off some of their players in the January transfer window which is barely four weeks away.

With the arrival of new players at Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window, the Blues are now planning to trim the large squad when the winter transfer window opens for business.

It was reported that the Premier league giants are planning to sell at least five players which include; Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcos Alonso, Andreas Christensen, Danny Drinkwater and Baba Rahman at the start of 2021.

The reports however revealed that the Blues are struggling to find buyers for the five players.

The reason behind this is because football clubs across the globe are still having financial issues owing to the effect of the corona virus pandemic that stalled world football and world economy for months.

Lampard refuses to blame this player for Chelsea loss vs. Everton

While the trio of Kepa, Alonso and Christensen have all been involved for the first team in one game or the other this season, Drinkwater and Rahman have however not played a single game and are not in Frank Lampard’s plans.

Apart from selling players in January, Chelsea will hope to buy some players as well but their main target is Bayern Munich’s David Alaba. The only challenge the Blues will face is if they will be able to afford the high wage he is requesting.
