Rangers rule out interest in Chelsea 19-year-Old midfielder

Ahead of the January transfer window, Scottish club, Rangers FC have ruled out interest in Chelsea midfielder, Billy Gilmour.

This was made known by the Ranger coach and former Liverpool star, Steven Gerrard who said his side are not interested in a loan transfer for the 19-year-old.

While Rangers may not want Gilmour, he has however proved to be a resourceful player at Stamford Bridge and could turnout to be included in the first team in future.

At 19, Gilmour played in two Champions League games for Chelsea this month.

He may have to remain at Stamford Bridge or move elsewhere on loan to get more game time to improve as Gerrard has ruled out reports suggesting that youngster could return with a view to earning a place in Scotland’s Euro 2020 squad.

“There is nothing in it from our side,” the Rangers manager said.

Gerrard however, revealed that Gilmour is a fabulous little player as he added that there has been no contact between the clubs or the managers.

The former Liverpool star however revealed that Rangers are interested in 18-year-old Colombian striker Juan Alegria and they are currently monitoring his performance.

We will have to wait till January to see if Lampard will keep Gilmour at Stamford Bridge or not.
