Transfer Deal: AC Milan join top European teams in pursuit of Chelsea’s forward

Surprise Seria A leaders AC Milan have join the list of top clubs across Europe ready to sign Oliver Giroud from Chelsea during the transfer window.

Oliver Giroud has been having a mixed season at Chelsea as he’s not been able to tie down a starting spot under Frank Lampard despite delivering goals anytime he’s called upon.

The Frenchman boasts nine goals in all competitions for Frank Lampard’s side this term with his biggest performance coming against Sevilla in the Champions League.

Giroud scored four goals against Sevilla as the Blues qualified to the next stage unbeaten in six matches.

However, despite his good form in front of goal, Giroud has only made the starting lineup on four occasions in the current Premier League season.

Top European teams have been monitoring his situation at Chelsea and according to Sky Sports News, AC Milan are also admirers of the world cup winner.

Milan are keeping a close eye on developments surrounding his contract situation as they are willing to add him to their squad.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been their standout player this season but the Swedish forward is approaching his 40th birthday and AC Milan are not ready to take any chances.

Giroud has also been linked with a move to Seria A defending champion, Juventus.
