Chelsea are ready to stick with Frank Lampard following the club poor run of form that have seen them lose four time in six matches.

Frank Lampard’s future at Chelsea has been under the spotlight ever since the team lost to Manchester City who had some of his first team players out with Covid-19.

Chelsea were battered at home by Manchester City 3-1, just days after they failed to win at home against Aston Villa.

Numerous reports have linked Chelsea with the likes of Thomas Tuchel and Massimiliano Allegri as possible successors for the English trainer.

Former teammate in Andriy Shevchenko and John Terry have also been tipped as the favourite to take charge at Chelsea if Frank Lampard is shown the exit door.

However, the Daily Mail has reported that Lampard will be given enough time to show his capabilities as the club have not forgotten the impressive feats he has already achieved during his time in the dugout.

The club are keeping faith in the Blues legend for the time being as he was instrumental in ensuring they secure Champions League football last season despite not having the luxuries of buying players.

It’s also reported that Chelsea’s form in the UEFA Champions League helped Lampard in the club decision as the blues qualified unbeaten in their group.

Chelsea will be facing Atletico Madrid when Champions League resume but will be eager to turn their season around as they are currently seven points behind leaders Liverpool and three adrift of the top four.
