Chelsea may have suffered another transfer blow in a bid to sign a new striker before the summer transfer window deadline.

Recall that the Blues recently resurrected their interest in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, with report claiming the two clubs were already in talks.

Another report revealed that Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku could be involved in the deal as Napoli showed interest to sign him for their manager Antonio Conte.

While the west London side are ready to part ways with Lukaku, they are, however, unable to meet Osimhen’s release clause, which stirred speculations that they could offer him a loan deal with options to buy permanently.

However, a recent update has revealed that the Nigerian star is not considering a loan move to Stamford Bridge.

This was confirmed by Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda in a social media post.

Amid the claims that Chelsea were considering an initial loan to sign the Nigerian, Osimhen’s agent was quick to deny it, revealing that he would not entertain any loan transfer this summer.

Popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had confirmed that Napoli and Chelsea held talks over a deal for Osimhen in the last 48 hours.
