Chelsea sealed a deal for their seventh summer signing.

This comes as the Blues recently announced the signing of goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen from Spanish La Liga club Villarreal.

The report revealed that the Denmark youth goalie penned a seven-year deal with the west London side, after a £20.7 million fee was agreed between the clubs.

Reacting to his transfer to Chelsea, Jorgensen described the move as a dream come true.

He also expressed how excited he was to have signed for Chelsea, who he described as one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Anticipating life at Chelsea, Jorgensen added that he couldn’t wait to get to know everyone and to start playing with all his new teammates.

Jorgensen will have to fight to get regular game time at Stamford Bridge as he is expected to compete with Robert Sanchez to be Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper under new manager Enzo Maresca.

Recall that the Blues manager in a pre-season statement revealed he is yet to pick his first team.

Couple with the Blues’ poor form during their tour of the US, Jorgensen could get a chance to unseat Sanchez as Chelsea goalkeeper next season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will play against Club America in their game.
