Three players that were impressive for Arsenal vs Liverpool

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has named three players who were impressive for the Gunners during their weekend game vs Liverpool.

The game which ended in a 1-1 draw saw goals from Gabriel Magalhaes for the Gunners and an equaliser from Mohamed Salah before the first half ended.

The result saw Arteta’s Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table on Christmas Day.

Arteta in a post-match statement has now applauded Gabriel, his centre-back partner William Saliba and midfielder Declan Rice.

“Those three were phenomenal. But I think the whole team as well and how we step up to the level that they put today is one of the best Liverpools I’ve seen this year.

“They made life really difficult. The game became really, really chaotic, the crowd provokes that as well but we handled the situation really well,” Arteta told reporters.
