Three Chelsea players who played as England thrash Ukraine

Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell got a chance at the England squad left-back during their recent 2-0 win vs Ukraine.

Chilwell played at the back after Luke Shaw was suspended following his red card in Italy,

The Blues defender impressed for Gareth Southgate’s side, attacking with urgency and quality when in possession.

Another Chelsea player who participated in the match was Mykhailo Mudryk.

The Ukraine star was given very little space to work with as he was withdrawn on the hour.

The third Chelsea player during the match was Conor Gallagher, who came in as a substitute.

Gallagher now has six caps, and Chilwell has 18. The match was Mudryk’s 10th Ukraine game.

Meanwhile, Reece James returned to Chelsea on Saturday for an assessment of an ongoing issue.

England would return to action again in June when they play against Malta and North Macedonia in a pair of Euro 2024 qualifiers.
