Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has sent a message to the club’s hierarchy to get a deal done for incoming goalkeeper Andre Onana as soon as possible.

Ten Hag, who saw the Red Devils commence their pre-season tour with a 2-0 win over Leeds United in Oslo, Norway on Wednesday, wants a new goalkeeper at the club this summer.

Recall that David de Gea exited the club this summer after his contract expired a few days ago.

As of now, Man United are yet to seal their deal for Onana, who they consider a worthy replacement for De Gea.

The Red Devils would have to splash £51million to sign the Cameroon keeper from Serie side Inter Milan.

When asked if it was important to wrap up the deal for Onana quickly, Ten Hag was quoted by Metro UK as saying: “Of course. Goalkeeper is a key position, but I am happy with the players we have now.”
