There are reports that Liverpool striker and Egypt international Mohammed Salah could join a Premier League rival if he decides to leave Anfield.

Salah will see his current contract lapse at Anfield at the end of next season as he continues to hold new contract talks with the Reds, who are determined to keep him at the club.

The Egypt international has been impressive this season, playing 26 times in the Premier League, with 20 goals to his name so far.

However, a report via Football Insider claimed that if Salah is unable to agree upon a new deal, he has a desire to remain in the English top-flight, which could lead him to join a direct rival of Liverpool’s.

While the striker would want to remain at Liverpool, he would only remain at the club if the agreements are favourable, especially in terms of finances.

Salah scored another goal during Liverpool’s recent 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

They will return to action in the midweek in the EPL when they face Arsenal.
