Man Utd may have to forget about bringing Brendan Rodgers as their new coach to replace an underperforming Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford.

This comes as Rodgers, who is a coach t Leicester City recently reacted to the rumours linking him to Man Utd.

The Foxes manager, in his statement, said the reports are ‘not real’ as he stressed that he is fully focused on Leicester City.

Rodgers was named among the favourites to replace Soskjaer, who is currently under pressure at Old Trafford.

But when asked about the speculations during Thursday’s press conference, Rodgers dismissed it as ‘disrespectful’ to Solskjaer.

“Firstly, it’s really disrespectful for you to ask the question when there is a manager in place at the club. A good manager and a good man who is working at the club,” Rodgers said ahead of Saturday’s clash with Chelsea.

Secondly, I can’t really comment on it because it’s not real. I’m proud to be here at Leicester City. I’m privileged to be here and I’m fully committed to the players, the club and the ownership. All the other noise is something we can’t control.”

Rogers stressed that the only thing he’s thinking about is his side match vs Chelsea this weekend.
