Rice’s shirt number at Arsenal unveiled
More details about Declan Rice’s record-breaking £ 105 million deal to Arsenal this summer have emerged.
The report revealed the now-former West Ham star has signed a five-year contract with the Gunners until 2028.
It, however, also includes the option for Arsenal to extend it by one year.
The English midfielder has also been handed his choice number 41 shirt at the Emirate Stadium.
Rice’s £ 105 million deal is the highest Arsenal have paid since they paid £72m for Nicolas Pepe from Lille in 2019.
The midfielder’s deal is also a record transfer fee between two premier league clubs.
It is also second highest paid for a midfielder after Chelsea who splashed £106.8m for midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Benfica in the January transfer window.
He is also expected to be available alongside the Gunners’ new signings Jurrien Timber from Ajax and Kai Havertz from Chelsea for Arsenal’s preseason tour of the US next week.
